Role Overview: We are looking for a Solutions Consultant (Presales/ Architect) to support the rapidly growing business in DACH & Central Europe. There consultants are the primary technical field experts, responsible for actively driving and managing the technical part of a sales engagement. As such we are looking for people that can cross the chasm between deep technical understanding and business value… support the business growth and develop trusted advisor status with clients.

In Short – we are looking for technical strength (potential backgrounds in Databases/Distributed Computing Systems / OpenSource technologies) but also to be a people person, interested in client issues and driven by solving problems!

This is not a “sales role” but it will be involved with engaging with customers pre-sale and will require strong technical skills to be able to engage with Engineering teams and management on real world practical applications of technology as well as presentation skills, to present and demonstrate the technology in Director / C-Level business engagement.


  • Technical Demonstrations & Customer engagement
  • Work closely with the sales team
  • Work with all technical levels from managers, to architects and developers as well as C’level/decision making execs at client organisations.
  • Be the technical product expert for customers and stay up-to-date on the NoSQL / Big Data competitive landscape
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to provide feedback from the field and represent the customer perspective

The desired candidate:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in software and/or a technologically relevant field is required
  • At least four years’ experience in pre-sales engineering / Architecture for enterprise back-end software, ideally a distributed system
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to present technical solutions concisely from small to large audience
  • Demonstrated passion for diving into technical issues and solving customer problems
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases or other distributed high-performance systems a big plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25-40% of the time is required
  • A German national or a valid work permit for Germany is a must
  • Fluent proficiency in English & German
