Title:                      Bid Manager: International (Telco SW / BSS)

Location:              UK OR Germany OR Spain

Our client is a scale-up international Software Company (Telco SW, BSS/Analytics space) that works directly with Telco Service Providers (Fixed, Mobile, Virtual) internationally. We are looking for someone to join their international commercial team (located in either the UK, Germany or Spain) to help support the sales function in a Bid Management capacity

Space:                   BSS, Billing, Payments, Mediation, Analytics

Role purpose:      

• Within a geographically spread-out international sales team… we are looking for the Bid Manager to help support the bidding function (work with International Sales/Presales as well as internal Operations) within formal OR informal RFx/Tending processes into Telco Carriers.
• The ability to shape bidding processes, internally, toward industry best practices would also be a major benefit.
• This role support’s the international Sales function…. But isn’t a sales role. Commercial Acumen will be key… but so is the ability to work with international teams across Sales, Operations & Delivery

Desired Experience:

• This is not a head-count owner role but skills working in Matrix Management AND Project Management (APMP accreditation would be highly desired though not mandatory) would be a major benefit.
• Experience working within Software/Solutions companies selling Telecom Software/Solutions to Telco Carriers (Fixed/Mobile/Virtual) is also highly desired.
• Clearly looking for someone that has worked within a “Bid Management” function before but not necessarily as a bid manager.
• This person could also have come from Technical Project Management or indeed Presales/Solutions Consulting within the Telco OSS/BSS SW World where they have worked with bid management processes.
• Telco Vertical Experience is a must!!!!
