Title: Exec Director/ VP Business Development: Data & Analytics in Life Sciences / Biopharma (Europe)

Location: Europe Remote (Genuinely open on location: UK, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland etc.)


Our Client is a global provider of clinical data software, solution’s and services (Analytics / Big Data)


THE ROLE: We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated Director of Business Development to join our Client’s commercial team in EUROPE with a focus on selling their data management, analytics solutions portfolio (eclinical / EDC based) for clinical trials into Biopharma organisations.


This is a player coach role… we do want a Business Leader… but also someone that is happy to carry a bag. The goal is for this person to build a team over time.


Key responsibilities:

  • Hunting and driving new business from potential customer companies within the biopharma space
  • Secure RFPs and review RFP detail provided by prospective clients to ensure adequate and effective preparation of project proposals
  • Match solutions with potential client challenges and needs
  • Lead bid-defence preparation and delivery
  • Manage customer portfolio to ensure securement of repeat business
  • Develops and executes sales plan to achieve targets


Qualifications and attributes:

  • Experience selling Data Management and Biometrics solutions, including functional service models
  • Proven track record in business development or sales in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry
  • Track record of consistent and proven success in new business development & key account management within biopharma space
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must
  • Determination to close the deal and resilience to keep prospecting are imperative
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing or related field of study and/or equivalent experience
