Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned, results-oriented Business Development Director to drive growth in the European market. The ideal candidate is a true hunter – a self-starter with a deep understanding of the pharmacovigilance landscape and a passion for building strong client relationships from the ground up.

This role is part of a high-performing international commercial team and focuses solely on new business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive new client acquisition across Europe
  • Identify, approach, and engage with pharmaceutical and biotech companies requiring pharmacovigilance services
  • Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting and lead generation to pitching, proposal development, and contract negotiation
  • Collaborate closely with internal scientific, operational, and leadership teams to align client needs with service capabilities
  • Represent the company at selected European industry events, conferences, and networking forums
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, market trends, and sales performance

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development or sales within the life sciences sector, with specific exposure to pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, or safety services
  • Demonstrable success in acquiring new clients and closing six-to-seven-figure deals in a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements
  • Commercially driven with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Able to work autonomously in a remote, international setting
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as needed
