Job Title: Sales Director / VP – North America: (Power / Utilities / DNO/IDNO CNI / IIOT / ICS)

Location: US remote

 

Our client is a Global Provider of Monitoring and Control solutions for the CNI (“Critical National Infrastructure”) space delivering solutions to Defence, Security, Utility Providers (power and water) and Industrial IOT (IOT/IIOT) sectors.

 

We are looking for a Sales Director/VP to drive business into the Power Utility (particularly DNO/IDNO) vertical across North America driving both direct relations as well as indirect relations through partners (Systems Integrators etc.).

 

This is a young organisation so there is both an element of the “start-up” Software Company mentality combined with a need for a sector veteran with a track record of selling “big ticket” solutions to very large organisations/complex stake-holder environments.

Duties:

  • Planning and strategy to address key customers & Verticals
  • Development & Growth of sales in the UK and Europe.
  • Development and Growth of sales channels in the region
  • Hands on, direct, management of key customer relationships
  • Potential for team development / management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in long sales cycle, large deal SW strategic sales to major enterprises in the power/water/Utilities/ CNI space (Across North America)

Proven success in:

  • Building / Driving / Executing go-to-market strategy
  • Building, growing and managing direct sales & channels to market
  • Experience in closing 7 and potentially 8-digit deals
  • Working Remotely with Willingness to travel nationally / Internationally.
  • Hunting, Developing new business.

Highly beneficial experience

  • IIoT experience is a plus
  • Executive Level purchasing engagement experience (C’Suite)

What are we looking to achieve?

This role is about growth. That said… we are not looking for a purely transactional Sales Profile. This requires both a hands-on deal-closer tenacity as well as long-term strategic account development background.
