Account / Business Development Director – UK Police & Law Enforcement

Job type: Permanent

Description

Title: Account / Business Development Director – UK Police & Law Enforcement

Location: UK

Market: Police, Law Enforcement & Public Safety

We are looking for an Account / Business Development Director to help develop and grow our clients business into UK policing and law enforcement.

The primary focus will be introducing an established investigation and data-analysis capability into UK Police Forces, Regional Organised Crime Units and other relevant law-enforcement organisations.

The platform can ingest and analyse large volumes of different data types, identify correlations and help investigators progress cases more quickly. It is cloud-enabled and designed to support investigators and analysts rather than replace them.

The Role

This is a genuine business development position, with responsibility for creating and developing new opportunities across the UK policing market.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing new opportunities across UK Police Forces and Regional Organised Crime Units.
  • Building relationships with investigators, analysts and senior stakeholders within policing.
  • Identifying entry points within individual forces and developing those into broader deployments.
  • Creating awareness and demand for new investigative and analytical capabilities.
  • Working with customers to demonstrate how technology can accelerate investigations and improve operational efficiency.
  • Developing opportunities from relatively small initial deployments through to wider adoption.
  • Supporting wider engagement with organisations such as the Home Office and National Police Chiefs' Council where appropriate.
  • Helping develop the broader UK law-enforcement market for the company's technology.

Who We're Looking For

Ideally you will bring a combination of:

  • Strong knowledge of UK policing or law enforcement.
  • Existing relationships across UK Police Forces, ROCUs or the wider policing community.
  • Experience working with, or understanding the needs of, police investigators and analysts.
  • Previous account development, business development, sales or commercial experience.
  • The ability to create new opportunities rather than simply manage existing accounts.
  • A hands-on, energetic approach and the confidence to engage directly with prospective customers.

A previous career within the Police Service, particularly within investigations, intelligence or analytical functions, would be highly valuable though not mandatory.

Alternatively, we would consider someone who has successfully sold technology or solutions into UK policing and has developed a strong network within the market.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be UK-based and capable of obtaining the appropriate UK security clearance.
  • Experience around investigative technology, intelligence, data analytics, location technology, telecommunications or related law-enforcement solutions would be advantageous.

For the right individual, the role has the potential to develop into a broader senior leadership position over time.
